Mark and I have been in Florida the last 3 months. It’s been in incredible time with the Lord. He’s preparing us to hit the road running when we return to MN very soon. He’s been speaking to us about our church (https://rt4sanctuary.org/), the foster care initiative and our house of healing (aka the Encounter House).
Mark loves to fish. He’s been fishing here a lot. Unfortunately fishing from shore has been poor. He’s caught mostly Sail Catfish. This morning was the same. There were many fisherman out but no one was catching anything. As I walked the beach this morning listening to a great message the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. He said “You carry My light. As you walk by these fisherman My light is going to attract a big catch.” My reply was “Yes Lord, for Mark too” and I continued on my walk. As I just about got up to where Mark was fishing I see him waving to me to come quickly. On his line was a small bull shark. How exciting! I sat down in the lawn chair and 5 minutes later Mark caught the largest shark he has ever caught!
I gave thanks to the Lord for giving such quick confirmation to what Holy Spirit had said and 10 minutes later I see the next closest fisherman pull in this huge pompano fish!
The Lord now has my full attention. I asked Him “This is great fun Lord but what are you saying with this sign and wonder?” His response was quick. “I call My people to be fisher of men. (Matthew 4:19) The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37). When you go home be prepared to share My light to everyone I put before you. Great will be the catch!”
