Modeling Endurance

My kids keep asking me when they get to see my actual book. They are my biggest little cheerleaders and think I am a YouTube star simply because I put videos on YouTube! 🙂 My daughter asked me recently when I was going to finally be done with my book. “How long does it take?” She asked. I started writing this book on parenting and the four thinking styles a little over a year ago. I am so excited about the incredible resource it is becoming, but it has taken lots of hours. I explained it takes brainstorming, writing, drafts, revisions, working with my coauthor, etc. It truly is a labor of love that I am already proud of before anyone else has seen it. Something I did not expect out of my obedient yes to the Lord in this project is how it has modeled endurance to my children. They are watching me stick to a hard task that is not completed on a weekend or even in a year. I am thankful for the tools I have learned to help strengthen endurance uniquely for each of my children and thankful to be able to model it for them organically! How are you modeling endurance for your kids? It’s a new year. What goal do you want to go after in front of your kids?
